Medical Speech Pathology

Curiosity, Dialogue, and Knowledge

Neuro Anatomy and Physiology

This page will attempt to give both general explanations of brain anatomy and function as well as in-depth information about how the brain works.  My hope is to divide it into introductory, intermediate, and advanced sections.  I will endeavor to learn along the way with you, and use the information I’ve already learned from the neurology classes I took in graduate school while getting my M.S. in Speech Pathology.

I definitely don’t know it all.  So I will defer to as many outside sources as possible, and if someone notices errors or constructive things to add to this series of pages, then please leave comments on the pages themselves or email me at medicalspeechpathology@gmail.com.  These 4 videos by Dr. Bruce Dobkin from UCLA are a great introduction to the subject.

Enjoy!
